Conservative dentistry
Conservative dentistry is the branch of dentistry which deals with the conservation of teeth in the mouth. Conservative dentistry involves the diagnosis and treatment of dental caries and includes various techniques and procedures.
The main role of the conservative dentist is the diagnosis and treatment of dental plaque, infections and caries, this which allows teeth to be restored to their function and appearance in a pleasing manner with little or no loss of tooth structure.
In conservative dentistry, a minimum of healthy tooth structure is removed during the process of restoration, which is inherently a desirable dental goal. Root canal treatment is one of the main treatments commonly used to maintain the health of teeth.
In this method, an operation is performed in which most of the affected area is removed and filled with various dental grade fillings, which helps stop further infection.
